Sr Manager, Comms & Accelerators Engineering team

What you’ll achieve
Our customers’ system requirements are usually highly complex. Bringing together hardware and software systems design, Comms & Accelerators Engineering operates at the very cutting edge of technology to meet them. We design and develop embedded and peripheral communications and accelerator products, conduct feasibility studies on engineering proposals and prepare specifications and instructions. We’re proud to deliver programs and products to the highest quality standards, on time and within budget.
Our team delivers communication and accelerator devices for Dell Infrastructure Solutions Group, including for servers and storage solutions. We work with the leading technology partners in the industry on Ethernet, Fibre Channel, Infiniband and Omnipath devices, as well as GPU-, FPGA-, and ARM-based accelerators. This includes SmartNICs, which are also known as Data Processing Units (DPUs) and Infrastructure Processing Units (IPUs).
The Sr. Manager is responsible for delivering these products and leads a team of engineers, including the Lead Engineer, hardware, firmware, and software engineers.
Maintains strong relationships with leading technical partners in the industry, including Broadcom, Intel & Nvidia/Mellanox.
Collaborates with Marketing, Procurement, Program Management, and other Engineering teams, including functional teams and project teams delivering Server, Storage and Networking products that utilize our devices. Influences roadmaps and development processes.
Provides technical oversight of team members' activities
Accountable for the operations and transformation of our lab, working with the Lab Manager and Lab Ops to keep it current with technology.

B.S. or M.S. in Engineering, EE or CS preferred
12+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience
4+ years of technical leadership experience
Experience designing or testing Ethernet, Fibre Channel, Infiniband or Omnipath devices; or GPU-, FPGA- or ARM-based accelerators.
Experience developing servers or their subsystems
Partner relationship management and negotiation experience
M.S. in Engineering, EE or CS preferred
