The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation software application enhancements and new products for a changing world. Working at the cutting edge, we design and develop software for platforms, peripherals, applications and diagnostics — all with the most advanced technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies and the collaboration of internal and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be part of the sustaining dev team which owns the sustaining releases

  • Efficiently make code changes in sustaining releases to help get those fixes out to the field as soon as possible

  • Strong debugging skills in system software (Filesystem experience is an advantage)

  • Be able to triage issues found by QA in our internal testing

  • Be flexible to take or change responsibilities dynamically as dictated by the customer needs

  • Work effectively with QA for getting releases with quality out to our customers on time

Essential Requirements

Desirable Requirements

  • BS/BTech/BE in Computer Science, related degree or equivalent experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in development/sustaining Engineering

  • Experience with one or more of the following programming languages: C, shell/perl/python scripting.

  • Proficiency in hardware, software and/or operating systems environments

  • Strong Unix/Linux knowledge.

  • Excellent communication skills and proven cross-team collaboration experience.

  • Experience in logging/resolving defect issues using a tracking system (like Bugzilla) and source control like SVN preferable

  • Strong Problem solving skills.
