Senior Test Automation Engineer – BIOS/UEFI (System Software - BIOS, Firmware, Etc… )
Currently seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer Test (SDET) responsible for designing, developing, and scripting automated test content across the Dell Client Validation Portfolio. This individual will be engaged across multiple global test and development teams to best define, prioritize, and code automated test content. This position requires a firm understanding of software development methods and hands-on experience with software and hardware.
Develop, test, and deploy automation test scripts and utilities that support the testing of new and existing Dell Client platforms in Dell/ODM validation facilities world-wide.
Clearly communicate development status and issues.
Interface directly with Validation and Engineering Program leads.
Replicate, debug, and provide timely status and resolution of coding issues.
5+ years of overall development and SDET (software development engineering & test) experience.
Proven experience in test case auto design/development and automated test frameworks.
Proficient at Python programming language and knowledge on C#, WebServices/API’s, Appium, Robot Framework, Selenium, Databases.
Familiarity and experience with PC architecture (BIOS, HW components, Firmware…).
2+ years of experience at System Software Automation Testing Tools/ Frameworks.
Strong analytical, problem solving, and debugging skills.
Ability to work with rapidly changing priorities.
Capable of working with minimal supervision.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a computer related field (CSE/ ECE).
Experience in source code management systems (GIT, SubVersion, TFS ….).
Experience working in an Agile development process.
