Test Principal Engineer

We’re involved in the whole testing process from preparing test and diagnostic programs to recommending changes in testing equipment procedures and designing new testing equipment.

Responsible for Intel/AMD/NVIDIA's new GPU/System bring up, functional and integration tests in Dell Servers across different Operating Systems.
Review and understand Product Requirement Documents and Specifications available and translate to software validation requirements.
Work with Dev Leads and inputs from dependent functional teams to design validation strategies, test plans and test cases, ensuring complete coverage and traceability of feature/system requirements.
Perform Proof of Concepts and evaluations of new hardware and software targeted towards AI and Data Analytics markets.
Review customer defects, understand customer usage pattern, ensure no test gaps and constantly update test library.
Interact with Dev liaison to Technology Partners for more info on feature/technology.
Drive opportunities to increase efficiency and productivity through best practices.
Implement a continuous improvement process for test plans, test cases, and automation during and after test projects
Evaluate effectiveness of test plan and assess test methodologies to reduce test time and increase test coverage
Work closely with other teams, cross-site and cross-functional teams.
Execute test plans along with peer test engineers.
Stay current with industry trends in testing strategies.
Manage use of automation and test tools and identify opportunities for process improvement where possible, and develop and execute test automation scripts
Note : We are building a Pilot team for GPU functionality validation. Hence role requires an engineer to be able to execute test cases and also write test plans and new test strategies. We will be building GPU functional test strategy from scratch.

Direct working experience with key graphics technologies and partners (Intel/AMD/NVIDIA/Synaptics, etc.)
Strong understanding of domain specific accelerators (GPUs, FPGAs, AI Accelerators).
Working knowledge with workloads such as GPU HPL, TensorFlow, PyTorch.
Solid understanding of PC architecture and related technologies (PCIe, x86 architecture, BIOS, device driver, application software, benchmark software, and how they interact with hardware.)
Advanced proficiency to analyze product/functional specifications, architecture requirements, and technical details.
Proficiency in at least one programming language preferably Python.
Proficient in formulating test strategies and writing test plans for validating HW/SW features.
Thorough understanding of defect characterization and able to demonstrate troubleshooting given a scenario.
Experience of enterprise server architecture, especially GPU Technology & Networks.
Direct working experience with key graphics technologies and brands (Quadro, GeForce, Radeon, Radeon Pro, Iris, Iris Pro, etc.)
Experience with CI/CD tools like Gitlab Runners, Github Actions, Jenkins.
Good communication and documentation skills are required
Must be self-directed. Should be a very good team player
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and and 8+ years of GPU Firmware/Driver validation experience.
