When your products transform the way we live and work, nothing can be left to chance. Our Test Engineering team takes charge of the testing, evaluation and validation of all our devices. We’re a team of expert engineers responsible for the development of all test cases and test tools to ensure the functionality and compatibility of our products. We’re involved in the whole testing process from preparing test and diagnostic programs to recommending changes in testing equipment procedures and designing new testing equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Owning and Driving Storage Validation Strategy for the project

  • Creates test plans and test cases (including automation) based on inputs from the feature specifications

  • Works with designers and technologists to determine test requirements and writes test cases, test plans and develops test tools for test projects

  • Develops risk management plans based on all information available to determine technical and logistical risk to completing test activities as planned

  • Manages daily execution of test plan

  • Reports test execution progress and issues to the engineering team, and manages the issues from creation to closure

  • Works with Development to resolve product issues discovered during test

  • Develop and Executes test automation scripts, Identifies opportunities for increased use of test automation

  • Working with Development & Program teams located across geographies

  • Mentoring junior members of the team to develop technical talent in the team

Essential Requirements

  • Typically requires 7+ yrs. of relevant experience in Storage Hardware & Firmware / Server Hardware / Systems Management / Testing domain with a Bachelors degree; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent experience

  • Qualification: B.E./B. Tech. or equivalent

  • Strong Storage in-depth technical knowledge of Storage Protocols especially in SAS/NVMe and with additional exposure to FC & iSCSI

  • Minimum 1+ years of prior experience as a hands on lead in driving and delivering Enterprise Storage product as a Lead

  • Having good exposure to industry wide Storage debugging and other tools used in validating the Enterprise Storage Products

  • Self starter with and ability to easily achieve mastery of new tools, languages and operating systems

  • Proficient in reading and understanding technical data sheets

  • Proficient in writing test automation scripts

  • Understanding of Server/Storage hardware and its components

  • Understanding of embedded software/firmware's, drivers.

  • Exposure across wide range of Operating Systems

  • Should be excellent in communication and coordination between various other departments in the product development and influence other stake holders to drive changes

  • Strong logical and creative problem-solving skills, good oral and written communication skills, and excellent analytical skills

Desirable Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of hands on experience in defining and driving Validating Enterprise Storage Validation Strategy & proven expertise in working with Development team
