We are currently seeking a Senior Vulnerability Remediation Specialist to join our Cybersecurity Identity & Access Management team based in Bangalore, India .
Develops effective working relationships IAM’s engineering SMEs to provide guidance on remediation of findings.
Assumes Technical Lead role to establish standards and operating procedures for effective patch management across IAM technical platforms
Leads the development of master patching plans and gains consensus for the IAM leadership team
Provide strategies on vulnerability, configuration, and cloud security scanning
Maintains a deep technical and business knowledge of industry directions and trends in IAM solutions.
Prioritizes own work and may have duties instructing, directing, assigning and overseeing work of more junior team members
Performs remediation of all, but not limited to, critical and high vulnerabilities within prescribed timeframes
Maintains and optimizes tools, processes, documentation, reporting, and technologies, and defines success criteria for their effective usage
Works closely with technical SME’s to coordinate IT patching activities within the IAM environment.
Drive operational efficiency and effectiveness for areas of responsibility
Communicate and present recommendations for vulnerability remediation to infrastructure engineers or managers in written and oral format
Ensure strong documentation, knowledge overlaps, metrics-driven action, emphasize on automation and scalable solutions.
Adapt to change quickly: changing requirements, changing priorities, changing strategies
Research and analyze vulnerabilities, identifying relevant threats, corrective action recommendations, and control false positives.
Advocate security and secure practices throughout IAM functions.
Adhere to security best practices and comply with company standards
Required Skills & Knowledge
Requires 8+ years of related experience in technical support engineering role.
Strong working knowledge of Vulnerability Management and Security Testing lifecycles, processes, and procedures
Working knowledge of IAM technologies for Identity Lifecycle & Governance, Single Sign-On, Multi-factor Authentication, Privileged Access Management, LDAP Directories
Understanding of risk-based vulnerability remediation using tools like Kenna Security
Ability to define remediation plans and gain consensus from all stakeholders
Familiarity with industry blogs, key publications in the field of security, and awareness of any recent significant security events
Experience with networks, firewalls, endpoint protection, log management, patch management, and Active Directory
Solid experience with one or more of the following programming languages: Java, Python, Perl, sh/bash scripting.
Understanding of Web Services and Cloud
Experience with Docker, Git, ELK is a plus
Strong ability to quickly learn new technology and new products.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Analytical mind, problem-solving aptitude, ability to document and troubleshoot errors
Ability to read and understand requirements and design documents
Proactive and willingness to learn
Able to work independently under pressure and maintain deadlines.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Risk Management, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
Skills that are a Plus:
RSA Authentication Manager 8.x, RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle, RedHat LDAP, PingFederate, RadiantLogic, CyberArk
Strong automation tools knowledge to drive investigation, capture, root cause failure analysis, containment, corrective actions, and process improvements to prevent issue recurrence.
Experience with process automation using RPA technology such as Automation Anywhere a plus
