Who we are

FP&A provides insight into Pivotal’s business using financial models built through collaboration across finance and the business. We engage directly with senior management and partner across finance and operations to understand our business drivers. We translate those drivers into financial models and projections to support strategic decision making at all levels of the business.

Your Day

  • Use scenario based modeling to analyze our financials, identify opportunities / risks and drive effective decision making

  • Analyze historical revenue, margin, expense and headcount trends to inform our forward projections

  • Consolidate worldwide financials during the monthly forecast and close processes

  • Develop strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders in finance and across the company

  • Partner with finance and the business to build financial and operational goals

  • Work with Investor Relations and accounting to prepare for quarterly earnings

  • Prepare CFO materials for Board of Directors meetings

  • Look for opportunities to improve processes and challenge the status quo

Required Skills / Experiences

  • 2+ years finance experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Accounting preferred

  • Strong written & verbal communication skills

  • Strong Excel skills

  • Ability to build complex financial models

  • Experience in corporate FP&A or finance preferred

  • Experience at a leading technology company and/or in an investment banking/consulting environment

Desired Skills / Experiences

  • Experience with Workday, SAP, or similar accounting software is desirable

  • Ability to liaise with multiple organizations and departments (both internal & external)

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

  • Detail oriented

  • Strong analytical capabilities
