Dell EMC is looking for an accomplished Senior Systems Engineer (Presales or Technical Business Development) for EMC Unstructured Data Solutions to play a big role in the UDS team to drive the adoption of the Isilon and ECS technology in the EMEA OAM market.

Reporting into the EMEA UDS Pre-Sales Systems Engineering Lead, this role is a high impact, high visibility position focused on leading Scale out File and Scale out Object Storage customer engagements by partnering with UDS sales and presales teams in each Geo to define key market segments to target, lead strategic deals across the EMEA market, enable and mentor the local presales teams.

The ideal candidates will have a unique blend of technical, sales and business acumen that heavily involves in and influences sales strategy and GTM motions across the EMEA market, drive training and enablement curriculums for field resources, and interacts directly with Unstructured Data Solutions’ Product Management and Engineering to influence product features and roadmaps.

Essential Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years in presales roles in Object Storage and Scale-out NAS solutions

  • A minimum of 10 years in selling technology in IT industry, with solid negotiation skills and business acumen

  • A comprehensive understanding of File & Object Storage solutions such as EMC Isilon and ECS, IBM GPFS, NetApp, Pure, Cleversafe, Scality or AWS S3 and other NAS storage architectures and ability to articulate on the concepts to customers

  • Posses networking and system infrastructure experience including and not limited to Load-Balancers, L2/L3 switching, AD/LDAP and other Core Infrastructure services used in large enterprises

  • Engage with the UDS sales and presales teams in each Geo where you prepare and present best practices for adoption of Dell EMC Isilon and ECS technology along with addressing technical questions and delivering PoCs that come up during the sales cycle

  • Able to deliver roadmap and vision presentations convincingly to customers and prospects throughout the EMEA market, acting as the leading technical authority in the organization

  • Experience selling into and supporting vertical and solution market segments such as Analytics, Life-Sciences, Media & Entertainment, Surveillance and EDA

Desirable Requirements

  • Alliances, SP, OEM Technical BDM / SE (sales savvy)

  • Mapping UDS offerings to Global Alliance particular vertical offering (per industry, i.e. Healthcare, VSS)

  • Experience in talking confidently around the industry verticals

  • Developing and supporting strategic engagements

  • Content / case studies development

  • Putting together business cases for the sales teams to support their proposals
