Demand Planning Advisor

What you’ll achieve

You will work with Internal stakeholders on hard disk drive demand planning activities.

You will:

  • Drives business strategy and/or sales objectives through demand, supply and capacity inputs to orchestrate decisions on forecasts and customer commitments. Selects methods for evaluating market, commodity, and product dynamics as inputs to demand forecast.

  • Analyzes demand trends and forecast performance that impact future demand plans. Utilizes data, analytics, and market intelligence to manage risk when determining forecast requirements. Leverages advanced statistical models to provide forecasts based on demand characteristics.

  • Collaborates with stakeholders on business assumptions that impact supply chain planning. Translates customer and financial requirements to actionable forecasts. Manages product/peripheral transition to avoid delivery delay and Excess & Obsolescence.

  • Applies demand shaping with sales segments during times of supply imbalances or when required to meet a shift in the regional marketing or financial plans. Plans material allocation decisions and translates material allocation to customer commitments on supportability and lead-times. Demonstrates strong communication and presentation skills to articulate forecasting plans and assumptions.

  • Share the weekly Sourcing guidance (SG) status within consumption quarter, weekly aging & Large Order workflow deal, providing supportability and or demand shaping options to the stakeholder. Review and report the weekly for the commodity being managed with the cross functional team and also present at weekly management review meetings. Wide Procurement (WWP), any LT/FDD requested for future LO or depletion plan for aging risk parts.

  • Monitor aging status and work with procurement, regional planners on depletion plan/demand shape opportunity to reduce aging. Weekly tracking of Left to Sell (LTS) item – closely working with RSCP & WWP on the depletion status & Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) turn off timeline. Daily tracking of Short to Backlog (STBL) - Identify the risk & work with procurement on the mitigation & recovery plan

  • Work with Large Order planning team/regions for any enquiry on deals loaded in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) /not in MRP. Weekly update to identify root cause & work on mitigation plan with procurement.

  • Minimum 5 years relevant working experience with a bachelor’s degree.
