Key Responsibilities:

  • Places purchase orders, works with suppliers and works with the appropriate organizations for new and existing materials, goods and services.

  • Manages corporate indirect spend within their category or regional area(s).

  • Presenting recommendations to leadership, managing the quarterly standard setting process within a specific category/area, negotiating agreements, partnering with the business to understand sourcing needs and to establish and drive cost savings targets.

  • Ensuring that the company receives best in class pricing for like goods and services, leveraging terms, conditions, and volumes where appropriate.

  • Designs/aligns overall organizational structure of functional area.

  • Anticipates customer's requirements; manages business flow to meet needs accountable for results, responsible for establishing goals and objectives for the work group.

  • Assembles resources and manages timelines/deadlines.

  • Manages the daily activities of individual contributors.

  • Develops and provides challenging yet appropriate assignments, evaluates work, communicates progress toward career development and goals.

  • Negotiate, manage, and review contractual arrangements while ensuring compliance at local, regional, and worldwide levels.

  • Proven collaboration and interpersonal skills required to build, support, and participate in cross functional or global category teams.

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining high level contact with strategic and reliable suppliers to effectively achieve cost, availability, and strong supplier management relationships.

  • Identify new suppliers as necessary and determine the optimal set of providers for goods and services.

  • Keep informed of key industry and market information including category specific trends, market conditions, and best in class suppliers.

Essential Requirements:

  • Typically 10+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • Typically requires 2+ years managerial/leadership experience.
