When Dell launches new game-changing products into the global market, Product Operations Engineering has a vital role to play. The team coordinates all the operational activities that enable products to be introduced and sustained successfully. It’s about making sure there is consistency between production and test environments. It’s about ensuring hardware, software and networking changes are migrated into the production environment in a stable and controlled way. And it’s about creating build processes, coordinating product builds for release into production and setting up configuration specifications for releases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer facing- Communicate with CS PM, PE, IMS and external Customers to understand the reported issues.

  • Broad knowledge within own specialty in CFI project engineering script, IT process validations such as GPT, OPP & File gen.

  • Develops and applies project management techniques.

  • Applies analytical skills to evaluate and interpret

  • Forecasts, models, and utilizes advanced analytical tools.

  • Identifies opportunities for process and procedure enhancements to drive efficiency and customer service levels.

  • Contributes to area by ensuring quality of tasks/services provided by self and others.

  • Extends capabilities by working closely with senior staff/experts within and outside the internal organization.

  • Simplifies difficult concepts for non-technical users.

  • May be responsible for specific programs, customers and/or projects.

  • May provide technical guidance or influence the work of others.

  • Updates leadership on project/activity status.

Essential Requirements

  • 8-10 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • Solid Knowledge of relevant operational process area (software engineering and support, infrastructure services and business process services).

  • Sound Knowledge on any two Quality Assurance Models (ISO 9001, 20000, 27001, CMMI, PCMM, Six Sigma techniques).

  • Solid knowledge of audit process.

  • Lead auditor for one of the standards and good auditing skills.

  • Proficiency in MS office applications and MS project.

  • Good knowledge in IT Process & Tool, MES, WBT, GPT, OPP etc.

  • Good knowledge of Software Estimation.

  • Solid knowledge on Quality Management.

  • Solid handle on Process Documentation.

  • Statistical techniques, quantitative analysis.

  • Good understanding of delivery Methodologies.

  • Good understanding of Project Management.
