Title: IT Transformation Senior Consultant(Data Center and business resiliency)
Dell Technologies Consulting delivers strategic guidance and expert integration of Dell Technologies products, solutions, and services to help customers rapidly transform their business and achieve optimal business outcomes.
As a DELL TECHNOLOGIES Senior Consultant specializing in Data Center, the individual will have extensive experience with Data Center Transformation, must demonstrate enthusiasm and drive for self-development, and to become a highly regarded team member. The ideal candidate will be a proven professional with successfully implementing end-to-end infrastructure and data center solutions for our clients, possess excellent technical credentials while demonstrating a consultative approach in helping identify and solving customer’s problems. The primary responsibility will be performing both a delivery function and acting as solutions SME in our Data Center and business resiliency practices to deliver services focused on Cyber Recovery solutions, datacenter Strategy, Migration, and consolidation.
Lead Cyber Recovery solution and proposal development once project goals and objectives have been defined.
Operate as a subject matter expert on Cyber Recovery solutions within the Consulting practice, including managing large customer engagements, delivering technical Cyber Recovery workshops to customers, and interpreting/managing complex Statements of Work (SOW’s).
Have full oversight of Cyber Recovery solutions at all stages of the lifecycle – from initial requirement gathering/validation through to solution design and delivery.
Deliver remote and/or onsite Data center migrations Discovery, Application, Infrastructure validation data, and analysis services such as developing bundling criteria, performing migration options analysis, Risk Analysis, and vendor participation analysis.
Develop various project deliverables (Design, Runbooks, assessment reports, workshops, migration plans, etc. as needed for each assigned customer engagement).
Develops, manages, and articulates Disaster Recovery/High Availability (DR/HA) solutions based on a client’s strategic business and technical requirements.
Conduct business impact analysis and risk assessments.
Act as a Technical Leader on larger projects, coordinating a larger delivery team's work owning overall responsibility for IT transformation.
Typically has 15+ years of experience in the design, engineering, and architecture of large-scale Data Center infrastructures.
6+ years of experience in IT Enterprise management (Oil and gas, Telco, Banking), Deployment, Systems Integration, or consulting role.
Expertise with Data Center Strategy, Migration and Consolidation methodologies.
Strong technical, organizational, and leadership skills for DR/HA technologies
Expertise with Multicloud solutions.
Knowledge/Expertise of Database and virtualization technologies.
Experience with one or more of the following operating systems (VMware, Solaris, AIX, and Linux).
Excellent technical knowledge of Cyber Recovery and Data Protection solutions, including architecture, design, vault considerations, software installation and configuration.
Experience with Data Protection/Backup Recovery Tools (Networker, NetBackup, Veeam, TSM, Commvault, etc.) as well as Data Domain and Avamar Technologies.
Advanced writing skills and demonstrated ability to document processes for the customer.
Advanced communication skills in working with the customer, including awareness of stakeholders and ability to influence outcomes.
Advanced knowledge, understanding, and application of project management principles and methodologies.
Experience in Professional Services/Consulting Delivery
Readiness to travel (based on project requirements).
Knowledge of Dell Technologies DPS Products: Data Domain, Avamar, Networker, PowerProtect design, and architecture
Knowledge and expertise with RDBMS Technologies
Strong understanding of the wider IT landscape including Network, Storage, Compute, Replication, Backup/Recovery Architectures, Application, Database, and Middleware Architectures including technical knowledge of Secure Networking, Vmware ESXi, Vcenter, VSAN, software-defined networking.
Good understanding of frameworks such as ISO 27031, ISO 22301, and NIST Cybersecurity framework, and developing Cyber Recovery strategies, plans, and tests.
Ability to assess client current state CR programs and needs (people/process/technology) and make recommendations for the future state, including developing Cyber Recovery strategies, plans, and tests.
Experience with ITIL, ITSM, TOGAF, Business continuity and Datacenter-associated Program Management.
