Dell is now looking for a Senior 5G Solutions Release Manager , to take part in a once in a career opportunity being part of building something from scratch and shepherding it into the marketplace.

What you’ll achieve

The Senior 5G Solutions Release Manager will be a key member of the 5G Solution Engineering team. The team is responsible for the end-2-end solution of a technology new to Dell for addressing the demands of 5G.

You will:

  • Planning release windows and the overall release lifecycle. Ensure that release requirements are met and committed features are included in the release

  • Managing risks that may affect release scope. Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements

  • Measure and monitor progress and manage relationships and coordinate with stakeholders

  • Ensure internal & external dependencies are managed and included in overall plans and drive release planning activities and ensure that company policies are met. Ensure deployment of release is done smoothly and efficiently

  • Working with release engineers to comprehend code merges and branch ramifications and conducting release readiness and milestone reviews. Leading and coordinating checklist and deployment plan execution and ensure production of release specific documentation, e.g. release notes

E ssential Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a related position and a Bachelor's degree or 3+ with a Master's degree or equivalent experience. Extensive knowledge and experience of R&D of telecom (preferred) or IT products and solutions

  • Experience from working with the Agile methodology and familiar with SAFe and in particular the Release Train Engineer (RTE) role. Experience from DevOps and Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration (CD/CI) pipelines

  • Excellent stakeholder and expectation management skills

  • Solid experience from delivery of complex IT or Telecom projects, preferably in a geographically spread organization

  • Understanding of Quality Assurance frameworks and processes (preferably in the telecom area) and Excellent communication skills
