What you’ll achieve
As a Principal Solutions Architect, you will provide world-class delivery support to your customers by understanding what services they purchased and translating them into design and implementation plans, delivering them with quality and professionalism. You will build an in-depth knowledge of your customers’ priorities and initiatives and becoming a trusted advisor who helps your customers avoid risk and impact to their business.
Become a subject matter expert on multiple high-end storage products that are part of the Dell EMC product portfolio
Serve as a technical specialist in the pre-sales cycle and collaborate with the quoting center and delivery manager to develop custom technical and architectural design strategies and level of effort estimates
Contribute to the development of best practices through collaboration in team meetings and help improve processes and procedures through continuous improvement and innovative thinking
Develop and cultivate excellent customer relationships by building solid customer facing skills including negotiation, conflict resolution and crisis management
Provide technical implementation expertise for assigned engagements to optimize results for the customer, maintaining awareness of existing or potential customer software/hardware/project risks and ensuring operational excellence through quality task execution
Collaborate with global team members to jointly deliver solutions to your customers
Identify potential sales and growth opportunities and partner with key stakeholders to maximize these prospects
Stay updated on technical specifications for hardware/software requirements of Dell technologies products through professional associations, trade journals and networking
Continually improve your skills through ongoing training into related areas such as virtualization, networking, Telco, 5G, EDGE computing, and aaS offerings

Technical skills – Primary responsibilities include PowerMax , VMAX3 , VPLEX , Connectrix ; may also could include XtremIO, Unity, PowerStore, RecoverPoint, AppSync and various data migration methodologies
Storage provisioning, Host allocations, decommissioning and VMWare integration
Brocade, Cisco - SAN Switch zoning and management skillset
Migrations from legacy to new tech/storage refresh using migration technologies like NDM, SRDF, OR, Host/LVM based, RP4VM, VMware migration, Rsync, emcopy or native replication tools
Preparing designs for product installations/configurations and creating migration runbooks and leading the conversations with customers for any problem resolution required
Desirable Requirements (not required)
Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time when required
Knowledge of NAS, Top of Rack (ToR) Layer-2 networking
Scripting knowledge – Python, Shell
Cloud integration knowledge on either AWS, Azure or G-Cloud, VCP Certification
