The Global Business Services team supporting Consumer and Small Business is at the heart of enabling sales to hit their sales targets by developing processes and tools to remove order friction, improve productivity, and improve the customer experience. A bridge between sales and other operational functions, we use our peerless expertise to evaluate and implement improvements to sales programs and processes. Put simply, we make sure the process of getting our ground-breaking products and services to customers as simple and seamless as possible.
Our Sales Tools and Technology team is looking to add talent to the team to deliver on these improvements by delivering world-class sales tools and programs – leading the change to keep our teams competitive and our customers happy.
Responsible for business support for all seller and contact applications as significant outages or incidents occur, partnering with IT support and MIM to coordinate response and resolution
Tracks incidents on and ongoing basis to report to leadership in sales and IT, calling out trends with specific applications or sales groups
Plugs into IT readiness forums to prepare communications on upcoming tool changes or downtimes, partnering with training and regional sales teams
Manages various programs for long-term improvement on tool uptime and performance
Organizational skills to manage details, timelines, and dependencies across multiple projects at once
Agility across functions within Dell to best navigate complex technical issues or solutions
Capability to communicate across multiple levels of the organization, from working teams to leadership
Proficiency in Microsoft productivity tools (Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel, Teams – Visio a plus)
Ability to work across multiple timezones – this is a Global role and may require schedules to be flexible at times to work early mornings and evenings to manage project work
Effective interpersonal and persuasion skills to work across teams and sell them on common goals and deliverables
Strong business knowledge and background to ensure programs and project success can be related to business strategic and financial goals
Analytical capability to review large sets of data to help make or support decisions, as well as measure success of the project or program
Process mapping skills to help teams identify root cause for issues, or help sales through changes to their processes
Experience with IT teams a plus as this role will be especially focused on representing sales with these teams
Typically requires 8+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6+ years with a Master’s degree; or 3+ years with a PhD; or equivalent experience.
