Dell Services Sales Executive (Based in Chicago Area) in Chicago, Illinois

DESCRIPTION:

Dell is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. We are currently seeking a Services Sales Executive (SSE)/Outside Sales Specialist to join our team, providing customer-facing sales support in Commercial Segment within the Chicago/IL/IN Territory.

The Complex Services Solutions Executive (SSE) within Dell EMC’s Support and Deployment Services (SDS) organization is a Services Sales role responsible for growing Dell EMC’s Professional Services Portfolio within the assigned Region. SSE’s work closely with customers, as well as aligned Account Executives (AE), Inside Sales Reps, and Systems Consultants to generate, develop and close business for Dell EMC’s Managed and Deployment Services Portfolio. The SSE role is a strategic, high impact individual contributor role and should be viewed as the Services Sales leader within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Sales focused position with responsibility for driving services sales to meet and exceed sales targets – including sales forecasting and maintaining CRM tool(s).

  • Engage at multiple levels within Dell EMC accounts to identify and qualify areas of opportunity to position solutions including Deployment Assessments of both End User and Data Center environments, Customer Whiteboard and Workshop Sessions, Managed Services Outsourcing, Custom Services Engagements, Multi-vendor Break-Fix, Systems Management Solutions, and more.

  • Helps define solution selling – delivers customer presentations, provides updates to educate/equip peer Sales Teams on our portfolio, informational tools, and upfront collateral that assist the AE’s in selling an overall Dell EMC Services to our clients.

  • Understands the various ways an opportunity may be delivered and can anticipate what will work best for a given client. By combining technical expertise, business acumen and customer intelligence, they provide detailed information about how a solution can deliver business value to Dell EMC clients.

  • Works closely with Dell EMC’s Services Solutioning, Proposals, and Project Management organizations to translate customer needs into customer facing Statements of Work, Proposals and Quotes.

  • Ensure proper governance is followed to ensure customer satisfaction and risk mitigation.

  • Mentor the AEs on Services training to include IO Assessments, Whiteboard Sessions, etc.

QUALIFICATION:

Requirements

  • 8+ years of prior Services Sales experience.

  • 75%+ travel for customer-facing meetings

  • Strong knowledge of End User and Data Center Services with particular emphasis on Deployment Services, Managed Services, and Outsourcing Services.

  • Expert strategic and organizational agility skills.

  • Advanced ability to understand a client’s business, technology and process needs, and translate that into actionable solutions, and present those solutions to our customer’s C-level Executives.

  • Expert working-level knowledge of the processes, technologies, and people components of services solutions.

  • Expert verbal and written communications skills.

  • Proven ability to drive results through others.
