What you’ll achieve
As the Information Technology Legal Counsel, you will play a key role in supporting Dell’s global Digital (IT) organization. Reporting to Dell’s Chief Privacy Officer, VP Legal, Ethics & Compliance, you will act as legal advisor and manage a variety of information technology-related legal matters. You will also collaborate with key stakeholders (e.g. Dell Digital, Enterprise Data Governance Strategy, Global Operations, the Security & Resiliency Organization (SRO), Legal and Privacy teams) to help identify, develop and mature processes, operations and technologies in support of Dell’s Enterprise Data Governance initiatives and Dell Digital’s IT policies/protocols.
You will:
Review and evaluate the impact of legislative, regulatory, and industry proposals applicable to Dell’s IT initiatives
Partner with Privacy Legal, SRO Cybersecurity team and SRO legal to oversee vulnerability remediation for Dell corporate networks
Support negotiating cloud computing, technology licensing, outsourcing contracts, and IT development, and other agreements, including partnering with Global Procurement legal teams and SRO Third Party Risk Management to draft, negotiate, maintain and provide training on third-party risk management security schedule and playbook
Partner with Privacy, SRO and SRO Legal team to respond to privacy and security incidents relating to Dell Digital Commerce Services
Coordinate and collaborate with product lawyers and other teams to evaluate IT requirements for new product launches

Essential Requirements
JD degree with admission to at least one state bar
5-7+ years law firm and/or in-house experience supporting an IT organization and/or IT/software procurement
Familiarity with IT, data center operations, networks, Internet infrastructure or IT security
Hands-on expertise and knowledge of global industry standards and security frameworks, information security and privacy laws and regulations (e.g. ISO, NIST CSF, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, GDPR, CCPA, et al)
Able to navigate large, multifaceted, and international organizations, including working across time zones
Desired Requirements
Experience in IT contracting, with an emphasis on drafting and negotiating, cloud services (e.g. SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, information technology and software licensing agreements, collocation agreements, software development agreements)
Experience negotiating vendor information security schedules and providing legal guidance for contract negotiations
Understanding of IT and/or IT security technical concepts and methodologies and has ability to communicate and discuss technical concepts
Legal project management experience is helpful
