Location: Round Rock, TX; Hopkinton, MA; or Remote - US

What you’ll achieve
As Legal Counsel, you will report to the Vice President of Legal – Global Operations and will support Dell’s supply chain and procurement organization. You will act as legal advisor and manage a variety of legal matters pertaining to Dell’s procurement contracts and other aspects of Dell’s procurement organization.
The ideal candidate for this position will have prior experience with software procurement. Experience in operations, manufacturing, procurement and other commercial technology transactions involving IT hardware, software, and services is also highly relevant.
Draft, review and negotiate software procurement agreements and other legal documents related to Dell’s software procurement
Respond to internal and external legal inquiries, dealing directly with internal clients, including senior executives, as well as Dell suppliers
Perform legal analysis/research and recommend appropriate strategies to senior legal and business stakeholders
Recommend changes to organizational policies/procedures involving legal issues
Coordinate legal matters handled by outside counsel
Manage departmental projects outside of primary practice area(s)

J.D. degree and at least one state bar admission
5+ years of legal expertise with procurement, manufacturing, supply chain and/or commercial transactions (in a law firm and/or corporate setting)
Expertise handling negotiations and drafting contracts
Demonstrated ability to balance legal and business considerations, problem solve and operate in a diverse and fast-paced environment
Excellent organizational communications skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Software procurement experience (e.g. software licensing, Cloud and/or aaS agreements)
Experience in the technology sector
Experience negotiating contracts for large global corporation(s)
