Key Responsibilities

Overall responsible for selection, qualification and sustaining of Storage Devices for Dell Enterprise Products.

  • Managing HDD/SSD Suppliers to enable successful qualification and fieldperformance supporting the Dell Enterprise HDD/SSD roadmaps.

  • Includes Supplier development and mentoring as it relates to Dell qualification and general support.

  • Driving supplier to support all requirements including, design reviews, features and functions,compliance to qualification process, and schedules

  • Managing all aspects of qualification including supplier internal development progress as itapplies to Dell's qualification goals

  • Supplier relationship and development as a Dell Partner for qualifications and generalsupport

  • Communicating program status and options to key Dell stakeholders

  • Driving strong execution rigor in both process and technical understanding of the solutionand issues and challenges encountered

  • Technical ownership of device programs with the expectation of thorough understanding ofdesign and challenges.

Essential Requirements

  • BS in EE/CS/CE with a min. of 3+ years’ experience with HDD or SSD Devices

  • Working HDD/SSD Device Engineering Experience

  • Strong oral/written communication

  • Ability to influence solid state suppliers and manage technical activities

  • Effectively collaborates, builds relationships and influences team members to established goals

Desirable Requirements

  • NAND management (ie. garbage collection, wear leveling, performance etc.)

  • Interface protocols - SAS/SATA/NVMe/SCSI

  • Sold State Device architecture and design
