Procurement

  • Develops and fosters cooperative relationships while analysing situations accurately and developing effective courses of action

  • Participates as a member of cross-functional teams and works across lines of business and functions to manage the cost of purchased materials against current standard cost and supports specific programs while uncovering material availability issues, technical matters, ideas and recommendations

  • Responsible for placing purchase orders for a variety of goods, services and materials as well as executing short range goals and following through on savings opportunities

  • Reviews necessary invoices with accounts payable and assists in analysing vendor responses to performance

  • Manages purchasing role in supporting technology plans and managing data requirements as well as other various tools, requirements, specifications, quality levels, delivery, cost, risk and data integrity, while understanding procurement tools

  • Communicates to suppliers needs and expectations while providing feedback to the suppliers regarding their performance

  • May monitor factory level execution according to allocations.

  • Develops long-term relationships with senior management of strategic suppliers for materials, services and technology.

  • May be responsible for supply chain management for integrated assemblies.

  • Resolves receiving and invoice discrepancies and manages applicable metrics

  • Bachelors (Non – Tech) or equivalent or relevant experience

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience in a planning/production control or similar materials role
