Our Software Engineering team ensures that our next-generation software is of the highest quality. We conduct a wide range of quality control tests and analyses to ensure that our software meets or exceeds end-user requirements. We debug software products, oversee the development of test plans, ensure system tests are documented, analyse the results, provide feedback to developers and make sure that all problems are resolved. We also select testing specifications for new products and ensure testing procedures comply with industry-specific standards.
As a member of the PowerMax Configuration Test team within the PowerMax Software organisation, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
Develop automation for existing and new test cases.
Advocate for automation to add value in both legacy and new feature functionality within the team.
Support and mentor other team members in automation development.
Verify design for new hardware and software releases for customer upgrades.
Ensure robust system installation, cabling, manufacturing configurations, and part number validation.
Promote for ease and implementation of customer upgrade scripts.
Creating and implementing test plans and test cases to qualify code.
Testing and releasing software fixes for PowerMax software releases.
Diagnosing, tracking, root causing, and debugging complex system issues and software bugs.
Recreating of complex customer issues that may arise.
Presenting project status for each feature being worked.
Knowledge of Python
Strong analytical, diagnostic, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Working knowledge of Unix, Linux, and PC based systems is required.
Strong aptitude for learning new technologies is essential.
The ability to work as a team player is essential.
Software testing methodologies
Bachelor's Degree and 2 years or Masters and 0-2 years relevant experience
PowerMax product knowledge is desired
Understanding of C, C++, PERL and any other scripting languages is preferred.
