Key Responsibilities

The Dell Global Services Application Development team develops and delivers world-class software to help drive efficiencies and reduce costs during customer engagements. ‘Titan’ is our flagship web application platform. It implements a micro-service architect, on Pivotal Cloud Foundry platform with primarily AngularJS single page applications on the front-end and Java/Spring Boot micro-services on the back end. Working in a development team to develop, maintain and deploy our platform and applications, you will:

  • Join the team in a hands-on role and use modern development methodologies and test-driven-development

  • Enable and support Continuous Delivery across our GS Application Development group

  • Demonstrate a keen sense of urgency and shared ownership of our products

  • Work with a large variety of platforms and technologies

Essential Requirements

  • Enthusiastic, self-starter with a charismatic personality and the ability to adapt and learn

  • Knowledge of agile methodologies paying attention to IT operations trends and new best practices

  • Strong coding, debugging and testing skills

  • Must be effective in working both independently and in a team setting

  • Experience with developing software for Linux and Windows

  • Ability to diagnose, analyze and solve problems

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral are required

Desirable Requirements

  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

  • Experience automating pipelines using Continuous Delivery tools such as Jenkins, Concourse, TeamCity

  • Comfortable with configuration management tools, such as SVN, GIT, Maven, Gradle, Artifactory

  • Solid understanding of systems monitoring, alerting and analytics (New Relic, Cacti, Graphite, Logstash, Nagios, etc.)

  • Typically requires 8+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6+ years with a Master’s degree; or 3+ years with a PhD; or equivalent experience

  • B.Sc. in Computer Science or a related technical field (preferred, but not necessary)

  • Keen to learn new technologies
