Key Responsibilities

An opportunity exists for a Senior Advisor, Service Delivery to join Dell EMC's Infrastructure Managed Services Organization. The successful candidate will assist with managing an Enterprise customer’s Storage Infrastructure as part of a domestic group completing daily Service Requests and providing Incident, Change and Problem Management.

This role will require the candidate to be part of a formal support rotation and it should be additionally noted that out of hours on-call efforts will be required as part of incident support and delivering project responsibilities, specifically to implement changes that necessitate impact to Customer production.

As a Senior Advisor, Service Delivery, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Point of contact on the account for monitoring, alerting, reporting via ViprSRM.

  • Manage & Support external Customer’s Storage Environment.

  • Adheres to proper escalation and change control procedures.

  • Working with a team of professionals for an Enterprise customer. Provide proactive recommendations to the customer for improving storage operations to help maximize their satisfaction with Dell EMC.

  • Day-to-day operations will include the allocating storage, modifying existing storage configuration and troubleshooting incidents and issues.

  • Participates in the execution of the business continuance and disaster recovery plans as agreed upon by Dell EMC and the customer.

  • Performs necessary storage infrastructure maintenance in accordance with Dell EMC and customer's change management policies.

  • Manage internal relationships with departmental managers and peers & also manage the external customer relationships by attending weekly customer calls when required to do so.

  • Active involvement in delivery management process improvements

  • May be required to support and instruct less experienced co-workers, through classroom training sessions or on-the-job mentoring.

Essential Requirements

  • Technical college degree with 8+ years’ experience.

  • Detailed Operational knowledge of some or all of the following:

  • ViprSRM

  • Block Storgae: VMAX/VMAX3, VNX, Unity, Vplex

  • File Storage: Isilon

  • Replication: Recover Point

  • SAN: Cisco/Brocade/Dell Fabrics

  • Knowledge of storage array performance analysis/design.

  • Proficiency in hardware, software and/or operating systems environments.

  • Strong Communication and Cross-Functional skills.

  • Strong analytical, problem solving, negotiation and organizational skills.

Desirable Requirements

  • Knowledge of VMware products vRO, vRA and vROPS.

  • Scripting \ Programming knowledge an advantage (Java, Python)

  • Awareness of DevOps or Agile an advantage

  • Dell EMC Proven Professional or other Industry Certifications desirable.

  • ITIL Certification preferred
