Senior Advisor, IT Infrastructure

We’re a team of experts optimizing the performance and integrity of IT infrastructure and ensuring consistency and synchronization across all infrastructure components. Alongside supporting new and existing applications, we work with other IT groups and business units to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.

What you’ll achieve

  • As a Senior Advisor , you will leverage in-depth industry knowledge of the business environment and technical solutions to provide technical and consultative guidance and help the customer increase their operational efficiencies.

You will:

  • Perform triage on issues, provide technical solutions, and stay up to date on software releases and updates

  • Develop and maintain SOP documentation

  • Develops and maintains metrics around the system and institutes a process for continuous improvement

  • Defines and ensures continuous monitoring procedures are set according to the standard procedures and requirements

  • Ensure that all work and changes are performed according to the defined change management process to minimize disruption to existing business use

  • Represent the product team during Major Incidents, perform RCA’s and drive to resolution.

  • Report on key systems administrative metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs)

  • Knowledgeable with Active directory administration (group policy, power shell)

  • Familiarity with ticketing systems, such as ServiceNow

  • Participate in an on-call rotation schedule in a "follow the sun" model

Essential Requirements

  • B.S. in computer science or related field, or 7-8 years equivalent experience

  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively in a team environment

  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership, can-do attitude, urgency, and drive

  • Advanced knowledge of security trends and best practices

  • A high degree of innovation & creativity to resolve technical problems

  • Excellent functional and technical knowledge in troubleshooting Microsoft Windows Server (2008 R2 - 2019, Windows Server Core 2016 & 2019)

  • Understanding of core security principles and practices

  • Strong experience working in a challenging and fast paced environment, ability to work well under sustained pressure and tight deadlines

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, as well as accuracy and attention to detail

  • Knowledgeable in tools like Configuration Manager (SCCM), AppLocker, Kenna, Nexpose, or other technical tools in completing assignments

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technology solutions in business terms

  • Ability to effectively present information to all levels of the business including leadership team

  • Experience in Patch Management and vulnerability remediation

  • Strong in scripting and automation – PowerShell, Gitlab, etc

  • Experience in Patch Management and vulnerability remediation

Desirable Requirements

  • Docker Containers, Kubernetes, Kafka

  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP)

  • Experience with GPU technologies

  • Proven project management skills
