For more than 15 years, Dell Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Solutions has helped customers in several key vertical markets accelerate time to market with their intellectual property (IP) with customizable Tier-1 OEM technologies developed by our dedicated team of experts. This is a senior engineering position within Dell’s OEM Product Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering both products tailored to the needs of individual customers as well as broader roadmap products that appeal to multiple OEM customers. This role will collaborate with colleagues, customers, and sales organizations to deliver products to position Dell as a leader in this space. The ideal team member will have the acumen to handle both complex and ambiguous situations and multiple responsibilities simultaneously – mixing long term projects with the urgency of immediate demands. The right individual will be a strong collaborator, able to think creatively and to work with others to find solutions, drive execution, and focus on results.

In this role you will:

  • Work with customers and sales makers to understand their unique product needs

  • Assess feasibility of the requested solution

  • Develop a delivery strategy that balances speed and risk

  • Lead and mentor through any technical issues that arise during development activities

  • Work with product marketing to influence longer term software roadmap projects

  • Own multiple short term projects concurrently with 1-2 long term strategic business projects from inception to factory release

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or relevant course of study

  • 5-7 years of broad software development experience

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt technical discussions to your audience

  • Candidate should have deep knowledge in one or more of the following areas and : BIOS development, iDRAC/Systems Management development, Operating Systems

  • Experience with vendor management
