Senior Contracts Manager - US Federal Sales

We are currently looking for a senior contracts professional with extensive experience negotiating, memorializing and administering FAR Part 12 commercial item engagements of varying complexity.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leads negotiations for the sale of information technology products (such as computers, servers, storage, cloud and software) and services (such as managed and professional services)

  • Interacts effectively with senior management as both an advisor and business leader

  • Works with Government business practices, intellectual property, resellers, leasing companies, and commercial contract law

  • Collaborates with sales, operations, finance, legal, tax, and services to ensure that agreements adequately protect Dell’s interests

  • Reviews and provides input on terms and conditions contained in RFPs and sales proposals

  • Drafts government contracting forms, documents and agreements (Universal Contract Format, RFPs, teaming agreements, non-disclosure agreements, subcontract agreements, partner agreements, CRADAs, etc.)

  • Works closely with segment legal counsel to ensure compliance with the FAR, DFARS and other applicable regulations

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Contract Administration, Finance, Business or related field with 10+ years relevant experience; or equivalent relevant experience

  • 8+ years directly related experience negotiating, drafting, and administering government contracts, preferably in the Information Technology sector

  • Extensive knowledge of the FAR, DFARS and commercial item contracting regulations, procedures and practice

  • Superior knowledge and experience with negotiating, analyzing, drafting and administering government contracting forms, documents and agreements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Exceptional ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to set goals, prioritize and complete projects independently

  • Commitment to excellence and integrity

Security Clearance:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a high-level U.S. Government security clearance

Desired:

  • Contracts Management certification highly desirable (CFCM, CPCM)

  • Knowledge of, and experience with, compliance related provisions such as the International Traffic in Arms Regulations, Export Administration Regulations and organizational conflicts of interest regulations

  • Knowledge of business principles and Federal procurement and acquisition law

  • Experience working and operating in a global company
