We are currently looking for a senior contracts professional with extensive experience negotiating, memorializing and administering FAR Part 12 commercial item engagements of varying complexity. The position is located in McLean, VA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading negotiations for the sale of information technology products (such as computers, servers, storage, cloud and software) and services (such as managed and professional services).

  • Interacting effectively with senior management and have a successful track record as both an advisor and business leader.

  • Dealing with Government business practices, intellectual property, resellers, leasing companies, and commercial contract law.

  • Collaborating with sales, operations, finance, legal, tax, and services to ensure that agreements adequately protect Dell’s interests.

  • Reviewing and providing input on terms and conditions contained in RFP’s and sales proposals.

  • Drafting government contracting forms, documents and agreements (Universal Contract Format, RFPs, teaming agreements, non-disclosure agreements, subcontract agreements, partner agreements, CRADAs, etc.).

  • Working closely with segment legal counsel to ensure compliance with the FAR, DFARS and other applicable regulations.

Essential Requirements

  • BS degree in Contract Administration, Finance, Business or related field; Contracts Management certification highly desirable (CFCM, CPCM).

  • 8+ years directly related experience negotiating, drafting, and administering government contracts, preferably in the Information Technology sector.

  • Extensive knowledge of the FAR, DFARS and commercial item contracting regulations, procedures and practice.

  • Superior knowledge and experience with negotiating, analyzing, drafting and administering government contracting forms, documents and agreements.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Exceptional ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to set goals, prioritize and complete projects independently.

  • An absolute commitment to excellence and integrity.

Desirable Requirements

  • Knowledge of, and experience with, compliance related provisions such as the International Traffic in Arms Regulations, Export Administration Regulations and organizational conflicts of interest regulations.

  • Knowledge of business principles and Federal procurement and acquisition law.

  • Experience working and operating in a global company.

Security Clearance:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a high-level U.S. Government security clearance.
