Dell Senior Systems Engineer - Enterprise Presales in Eden Prairie, Minnesota

DellEMC is part of Dell Technologies, a worldwide provider of information technology and solutions to a broad range of clients. We are currently looking for an Senior Systems Engineer to join our Enterprise Presales Team. This role requires strong customer skills and account leadership abilities.

The Senior Systems Engineer will work with sales teams in a matrix environment to sell comprehensive solutions based on a thorough understanding of both short and long term customer requirements. This includes, but is not limited to, the development and implementation of technical sales strategies, thoughtful discovery of customer requirements and subsequent solution proposal development, delivery of technical presentations, product demonstrations, and customer focused seminars, and competitive differentiation of DellEMC solutions.


  • Provides technical and architectural sales expertise across multiple enterprise technology domains

  • Technologist with the desire and ability to guide our customers on the topics of emerging and next generation technologies

  • Understands market and industry data and provides thought leadership

  • Builds relationships and trust with customers and partners

  • Works with customers to formulate technology strategies and vision that align with customer business goals

  • Works with DellEMC field teams and partners to drive enterprise business and solve customer problems in large Enterprise accounts

  • Works independently and takes the technical leadership role to ensure that the DellEMC solutions are comprehensive, achieve customer goals and provide an outstanding customer experience

  • Provides counsel across account team in analyzing customer requirements and performing advanced systems integration and providing technical expertise to design and implement solution using breadth of our products and services

  • Qualifies highly complex sales opportunities in the terms of customer technical requirements, competition, decision making process and funding

  • Presents the design and value of proposed solution and business case to customers, prospects and management at a senior, sometimes executive level.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • 5 to 10 years of presales, enterprise architecture or related experience

  • Expertise in multiple enterprise/cloud technologies that may include but not limited to Compute, Networking, Storage, Virtualization, CI/HCI, DevOps and Cloud Operating/Consumption Models

  • Demonstrated strong written, oral and presentation skills with the ability to discuss highly technical concepts to a variety of audiences, including executive level technical decision-makers.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives.

  • A high level of business acumen and experience working with Cx0 level personnel, bringing technology solutions to solve business challenges.
