We're looking for a dynamic, highly motivated Senior Java Engineer who will help develop the Secureworks Client Portal web-application. You will have a passion for technology, and will work in an agile environment building business critical, highly available, reliable and performant web applications and services. You will focus on efforts to increase automated system and functional testing of the platform.
You’ll get the chance to
Build and evolve our Client Portal enabling our Clients to make data driven decisions
Increase automation of system and functional testing of the Client portal platform
Participate in architecture and design discussions for complex problems
Design and implement low-latency, high-availability, and performance applications
Leverage cutting edge Open Source libraries and APIs
Conduct code reviews
Explore emerging technologies and quickly adapt, building innovative solutions
Help automate and streamline our operations and processes
Deploy software, troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test and production environments
Develop high quality software that is effective, easy to understand and maintainable
Strong Java object-oriented design and coding skills with ideally 4/5+ years commercial experience
Experience of test driven development and associated technologies such as JUnit and TestNG
Comfortable working in a Linux system environment.
Experience with SQL and relational databases
Experience in Agile (Scrum) development
Advanced coding skills (concurrency, profiling and performance optimisation)
Familiar with Atlassian Stack (JIRA, HipChat, Bitbucket, Confluence, etc.)
Source Control: Git, Subversion
Build Tools: Maven, Ant, Gradle
Code Coverage: JaCoCo, Cobertura
Static Code Analysis: SonarQube, FindBugs, PMD, CheckStyle
