The attorneys and legal support professionals in our Contract Counsel team bring a wealth of expertise to Dell. Their experience spans litigation, commercial transactions, intellectual property, corporate transactional, securities, employment, immigration, compliance and regulatory matters. We rely on them to manage legal business, advise on legal issues and actions, review legal data and coordinate external counsel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides contractual and commercial expertise, support and guidance in the development and negotiation of contracts, including risk assessment and alternate positions to support the offer. Advises, or approves amendments to contract and/or commercial terms or contract extensions.

  • Advises internal functions of contractual rights and obligations.

  • Coordinates internal Dell resources to effectively complete the contract documents.

  • Provides after sale support to facilitate effective execution of signed contract/agreement, compliance with obligations as well as protection of revenue and profit and mitigation of contractual risks.

  • Analyzes, develops, and administers contractual documents to ensure compliance to company policy, legal and regulatory requirements and customer specifications.

  • Coordinates internal Dell resources to effectively address and respond to customer’s contractualrequirements

  • Handles post-negotiation support and coordination to ensure effective execution of low-moderate complexity contracts

  • Able to follow new contracts processes relating to drafting and negotiating developed by functional area

  • Manages multiple contracts with varying deadlines

  • Includes all necessary contract related data for the customer to fully evaluate the offer. Increases sales efficiency and effectiveness with regard to the contract negotiation process.

  • Escalates non-standard legal issues to legal counsels if the desired solution is outside of policies and playbooks.

Essential Requirements

  • 5+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3+ years with a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent experience

  • Contract drafting & Negotiation, Organization and Interpersonal skills

  • Develops innovative and creative output based on interpretation and analysis that improve Legal performance and contributes to corporate goals and strategic intent.

  • Fluent English
