IT Consultant Security Architect

As a IT Consultant Security Architect , developing possible near term and long-term vulnerability mitigation strategies and action. You will be responsible for Threat modeling, vulnerability assessments to identify information system vulnerabilities or confirm compliance to security standards. Identify, analyze and prioritize discovered security exposures and follow up with IT to remediate findings. Find internal and external threats that could result in unauthorized disclosure, misuse, alteration or destruction of data or systems.

You will:

  • May have duties instructing, directing, assigning, and overseeing work of more junior team members

  • Perform on-going security testing and code review to improve software security and help in troubleshooting and debug issues that arise and leverage automated and manual security assessment techniques, and a variety of data sources including externally reported vulnerabilities in products and applications, to drive remediation actions across all technology layers.

  • Creates, executes vulnerability assessment strategy, policy, standards, and procedures and communicates security and compliance issues to management, end users and security experts as well as to provide engineering designs for new software solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities

  • Creates and delivers presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences on vulnerability assessment topics, threat and vulnerability management procedures and interact with Senior Management, Incident Response and Risk Management teams to provide security assessments, security gap-analysis, audit reports and recommendations

  • Analyze scan reports (internal & external) and guide teams with defining severity (CVSS) and work with product teams to mitigate feature backward compatibility issues caused by security updates.

Essential Requirements

  • Familiarity with Threat Modeling, vulnerability assessment technologies and issues on multiple platforms & Cloud technology

  • Should have experience in External Audits, Internal audit, Application Security, Source Code Review, Source code Analysis , Security Review, Identity Access Management (PAM/PIM), and be experienced in vulnerability assessment of web applications and VA Scan

  • Excellent/extensive working knowledge of SonarQube, Black Duck, Kenna, HP Fortify ,Qualys, Rapid7 & SecureWorks

  • Experience with cloud security architecture, container and Micro services.

  • Expertise in Web security, Network security, OS & host hardening, FIPS, email security, lockbox, Application security firewalls, and providing defense in depth security solution

Desirable Requirements

  • Docker/Kubernetes implementation and experience with docker container build, Cloud Foundry experience will be good to have
