IT ServiceNow Senior Software Engineer - Asset Management

What you’ll achieve

This position will work in an agile structure as a part of a global product team providing production support and task-based configuration activities for a large and complex instance of ServiceNow, with an initial focus on Asset Management. The incumbent will be expected to participate in all scrum and deployment activities and work from assigned stories, tasks, defects or incidents. Work may include extended hours while supporting deployments and other production related activities such as service restoration or incident triage when needed.

You will:

  • Be a member of a fast-paced global product team working on existing, new and enhanced ServiceNow capabilities

  • Work in a Product Model that includes end-to-end ownership of the product's design, operation, maintenance and growth

  • Work on both Portal (end user) and Platform (fulfiller) elements of ServiceNow

Essential Requirements

  • Experience in IT support and operational roles and ITIL based IT Service Management processes

  • Hands on experience with ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management and Configuration Management processes including configuration, integrations, discovery and development of these processes

  • Experience configuring ServiceNow including incident resolution, process improvement and platform enhancements

  • Experience with ServiceNow platform upgrades, Portals and use and management of update sets

  • Desirable Requirements

  • Hands-on in Glide and Jelly Scripting, Java Script, HTML, XML, AJAX, AngularJS, JSON, REST API

  • Hands-on experience with web UI development technologies that include HTML, CSS, and AJAX

  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist

  • ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation Certification
