Job Requirements:

  • Clearly understand the request and provide a solution from personal knowledge assisted by local tools, product documentation and escalation to subject matter experts within the priority level chosen by the requester.

  • Have excellent communications skills that ensure quality solutions the first time resulting in a positive experience to the requester.

  • Utilize and maintain escalation contact lists for all Products and Services supported by the Pre Sales Support Center.

  • Broad knowledge of the computer systems environments, Operating Systems, and the industry’s most popular applications and products.

  • Good knowledge of the operation, installation, and maintenance of several DELL EMC products or their industry equivalents.

  • Understand and be able to work questions within the most popular systems and environments in which DELL EMC products operate

  • Expand knowledge of DELL EMC products.

  • Sales/presales awareness

  • Good communication skills

  • Customer service orientation

  • Theatre/division awareness

  • Solution orientation

  • Knowledge of Powerpoint presentation

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Logging of requests via the SFDC Case system in order to provide accurate tracking of cases around various Sales and Presales requests

  • Escalation of problems when appropriate to Team Leader and GBS Manager

  • Knowledgeable of DELL EMC storage products to provide the Presales teams’ with appropriate and best configuration as per customer requirement. Provide support of DELL EMC products, solutions, services and tools and utilities.

  • Development of a wide range of technical configurations, including full product specifications and pricing.

  • Perform technical configuration requests using DELL EMC configuration tools.

  • Interpret customer request and upload data from a customer's systems (server, file service, database application, or catalog) to analytical tools to create customized analysis of potential solutions for sales and presales to present to the customer.

  • Development of technical hardware/software quotations and configurations, including full product specifications and pricing.

  • Additional tasks can include creating current state technical drawing diagrams.

  • Requirement for quality of communication and Technical knowledge to obtain a solution.

  • Will be able to qualify for and successfully complete basic and intermediate level EMC product training courses.

  • Improve the quality of the group’s processes and tools.

  • Use documentation systems to research solutions

Desirable Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree

• 2 years’ experience in a support or technical role
