Software Engineer 2 - Application Support

What you’ll achieve

As an IT Application Management Engineer, you will manage Order management applications, performing support, monitoring and system tuning activities across the entire application stack and analyzing software and hardware problems to coordinate workable solutions.

You will:

  • Manage trouble ticket resolution for multiple applications

  • Provide production support for applications, determining root cause as well as proposing and implementing solutions

  • Apply advanced principles and concepts to solve problems and deliver solutions

  • Identify reliability opportunities proposing major functional or performance enhancements for existing system products such as solution redesign or reliability solution development.

Essential Requirements

  • Troubleshoot low to critical technical problems in Production within acceptable service levels.

  • Ability to prioritize operational issues/customer escalations and handle multiple issues towards solution.

  • Participate in root-cause analysis of technical incidents and develop support plan to avoid recurring incidents/production issues.

  • Maintain deep technical/business knowledge of the domain and regularly contributes to departmental documentation/knowledge bases.

  • Strong technical knowledge in one of the following areas : Java, .Net, Oracle EBS or Cloud technologies

Desirable Requirements

  • Understanding of IT industry methodologies and principles (DevOps, Agile, SRE)

  • Good knowledge in monitoring systems like Catchpoint, Splunk, Zabbix, Riverbed, etc.

  • Cloud Foundry / Pivotal methodology and ITIL

  • application support experience Oracle EBS application, including modules OM, AR and inventory

  • Experienced in core java and administration skills in Linux and Windows environments
