Product Manager - Apex Pod Infrastructure (Remote, US)

An exciting opportunity for a self-starter to join a growing team with a charter to help the customers of Dell Technologies transition to as-a-Service capabilities.

The Apex operating environment product manager will be responsible for defining the on-premise point of presence used to manage Dell’s Apex offerings. The on-premise point of premise infrastructure needs to be highly reliable and scalable to meet the needs of Dell Technologies’ s Apex as-a-Service offerings. In this role, you will define the requirements of the platform, validate offerings and manage the entire software and hardware life cycle of the platform.

What you’ll achieve

As a Product Management Consultant, you will identify new growth areas, technologies and emerging product/service opportunities. You will conduct in-depth market analysis to optimize existing products/solutions and build next generation products, partnering closely with the Engineering and Product Management teams to build a product road map and align product strategies for the business.

You will:

  • Create product requirements for the Apex on-premise point of premise operating environment.

  • Work with engineering to engineer the platform, validate and launch the platform with Apex offerings

  • Define the process for how the platform will be built, delivered, and deployed

  • Manage the entire software and hardware product lifecycle, including delivering the features to the operating environment

  • Lead the communication with all appropriate extended teams and ensures they are informed and in agreement with all activities needed for the solution to succeed.

  • Oversee and drive products/ solutions through the phase release process including business case and resource requirements.

Essential Requirements

  • 5 to 8 years’ experience in Technical Product Management

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Strong technical skills in IT, datacenter, Cloud, compute, storage, networking, and security

  • Strong technical acumen with a history of building/delivering enterprise product

  • Experience in defining customer requirements and using qualitative and quantitative data to prioritize decision-making

  • Comfortable with ambiguity; tight deadlines and operating in a very fast-paced environment

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience in defining scalable and reliable integrated platforms using compute, storage, and networking technologies

  • Knowledge and working experience using agile methodology

  • Skilled in influencing across a cross-functional organization at all levels
