Dell Sr Advisor (I8) Service Delivery of Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) in Florida

  • In-depth knowledge of virtualization technologies and concepts, for example: VMware, AWS, MS Azure, Google Cloud Computing or KVM

  • In-depth knowledge of network and distributed internet technologies including TCP/IP, firewalls, load balancers and web application architectures

  • Strong background in Linux or Windows Administration

  • Knowledge of continuous deployment (CD) software, including Jenkins, Bamboo or Concourse

  • Able to automate tasks with Python, Ruby or Bash

  • Experience with and understanding of messaging and database technologies: RabbitMQ/AMQP, JMS, and RDBMS, NoSQL, Hadoop, MySQL and Redis

  • Software development experience that could include (but not necessarily limited to) the following languages, systems or frameworks: Java/Spring, Ruby/Rails, Go, JS/Node.js

  • Knowledge and understanding of source control systems such as Git or Bitbucket

  • Recent experience with implementation of Cloud native systems (Pivotal Cloud Foundry) and software solutions for Containerized, Micro services based eco-systems, Application modernization, migration and development on PaaS platforms

  • Hands on experience with BOSH, or related automation / orchestration tools

  • Experience working with SAML, Auth 2, Active Directory and network protocols

Knowledge and experience with IT best practices and an operation in an “always-up, always-available” service environment is essential

  • 8 years of professional experience supporting production medium to large scale environments

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience working Cloud foundry and related technology stack

  • Prior experience with industry standard remote monitoring and event handling solutions

  • Solid ability to create automation with Chef, Puppet, Ansible or a shell

  • Good collaboration & communication skills, the ability to participate in an interdisciplinary team

  • Strong written communications and documentation experience

  • Knowledge of best practices related to security, performance, and disaster recovery

  • Active Secret or higher clearance is a plus Major Duties

  • Install, configure and support multiple Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) environments

  • Install and support the following PCF backing services: Redis, MySQL, RabbitMQ, Gemfire, and Spring Cloud

  • Perform capacity, availability, issue resolution and change management processes for PCF

  • Scale PCF components by forecasting needs and adding or removing components as needed

  • Upgrade PCF and installed backing services

  • Ensure that management and monitoring tools are integrated with Pivotal Cloud Foundry environments.

  • Assist app developers with troubleshooting PaaS related issues as needed
