Senior Advisor, Demand Planning

What you’ll achieve

As a Senior Advisor, Demand Planner you will be responsible for the global material plan for the midrange ISG product portfolio. You will work with Sales through the Center of Competence demand planning, Product Line Managers, Procurement and Purchasing to ensure we have the most accurate material plans for North America and the global team. You are responsible for the Material Product Plans for all Midrange storage products including all new product introductions. This role has high visibility within global operations as you will be the planning leader for midrange across the global storage planning organization and will coordinate and communicate product specific planning activities and issues within the organization. This role has high visibility and exposure to both internal and external stakeholders.

You will:

  • Develops system level Manufacturing Production Plans for ISG storage products focusing on NA and WW markets

  • Coordinates with Sales through Center of Competence within NA region

  • Develops new methodologies in forecasting and modeling including the latest statistical forecasting tools

  • Develops working relationships with counterparts in other regions

When you’re working in the fast-moving world of technology, product availability is critical – which makes the availability of raw materials for production critical too. Our Material Planning team provides a controlled flow of materials to meet production requirements. We produce detailed schedules, adapting them if necessary to meet backlog or material shortages, as well as material requirement lists and production plans that balance the demand and supply position of platforms and commodities to optimize product availability and cost. We’re experts at resolving problems with inventory, production schedules or material shortages and recommending procedures to avoid future problems.

Essential Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge of Dell’s Master Sales Plan Forecast Process.

  • Excellent knowledge of forecast methodologies.

  • Excellent knowledge of financial management concepts, including product line P&L

  • Excellent relationship and team building skills. Leadership skills to provide guidance to less experienced team members

Desirable Requirements

  • Familiarity with ISG storage product lines desired: specifically midrange storage

  • BS in Business or equivalent field. MBA preferred
