Provide strategic planning, innovative solutions and technical knowledge in order to design, implement and support Dell EMC’s Global Unified Communications enterprise Conferencing and related technologies (e.g. audio/video/web conferencing, Skype, digital signage, etc.). Take the lead on projects from initiation to completion for Conferencing and related infrastructures. Perform requirements analysis and develop hardware/software solutions to provide Conferencing solutions to business requirements. Coordinate and review the installation of hardware, implementation of software, reviewing conference management and monitoring tools.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with the planning and development of complex global conferencing infrastructures both on premise and hosted
Stay abreast of current technologies, make recommendations based on knowledge and research
Interface with Global carriers to help develop and implement conferencing solutions
Work on complex problems and provide innovative suggestions for solutions
Identify inefficiencies and make suggestions for process improvements
Collaborate with other engineering groups, readily share information with others
Actively seek customer input and take responsibility for customer situations if necessary
Take part in local/regional/global 24/7 on-call rotation as required
Provides on-site conferencing support for Dell EMC’s offices in Hopkinton, Franklin and Southboro, MA
Minimal travel required to major Dell events in North America (approximately 2 trips/year)
Bachelor’s degree (technical) with 5+ years relevant experience; or equivalent experience
Knowledge in Pervasive and Immersive video, digital signage, WebEx (or other web conferencing tools), desktop video, multi-casting live and pre-recorded content, etc.
Experience working with Cisco and/or Polycom conferencing systems
Strong problem solving/troubleshooting skills
Ability to learn new technologies quickly
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Knowledge of job associated database/software/documentation
