Dell Apex - Commercial Contracts Advisor in George Town, Malaysia

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Initiate contract schedule creation based on a deal’s commercial terms. This would include all aspects of deal pricing, length of contract, capacity commitments, and other negotiated program terms. Provide risk assessment analysis and suggest options and alternatives to balance customer requests with desired outcome and Dell’s and program’s guidelines.

  • Engage with Pricing team and sales to fully understand contractual requirements prior to contract creation. Work with other teams including operations, asset delivery and metering teams to ensure that the deal terms can be supported once executed.

  • Partner with legal teams in negotiation of customer contracts.

  • Develop program subject matter expertise on issues ranging from asset metering to billing to help answer questions from sales and customers.

  • Maintain contract and booking documentation in Smartsheets, Sharepoint, and other systems. Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

  • After customer contract execution and PO receipt, review for accuracy, and hand-off to Operations for booking.Follow for revenue and asset order completion and provide information back to Sales teams.

  • Create contract amendments for changes in terms and work with sales & customers through execution.

Required Skills

  • Operational experience in commercial contracts – over time, the role will be required to develop a deep understanding of the commercial terms of Flex on Demand, and the contractual representation of such;

  • Attention to detail. Ability to review and synthesize a number of documents including sales quotes, pricing files, and booking packages to incorporate into contracts. Ability to adjust standardized contracts for unique situation and requests.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to communicate program requirements to sales and customers and negotiate modification of commercial schedules.

  • An ability to operate proactively across multiple virtual teams and geographies and build effective working relationships with a range of other functional roles (Pricing, legal, operations and sales teams)

  • University degree

  • Fluency in both Mandarin and English in a business setting is required.
