Senior Advisor, Compensation

Location: Remote U.S.

We are looking for a Senior Advisor, Compensation to join the Market Intelligence Compensation team at Dell. Our team provides expertise in global job and compensation benchmarking and analytical support on key compensation elements such as base salary, incentives, premium pay practices and market trends. We partner with Regional and Business Compensation leaders and HR Business Partners to design and develop a scalable job architecture and locally relevant compensation programs. You will:

Manage total compensation strategies, programs and initiatives that are integrated with and support immediate operational and corporate business and financial objectives. Participate in and lead work streams of our annual competitive review to ensure all of Dell’s compensation practices align to our strategy in each location. Design work streams and tools which facilitate an efficient and agile process including analytical dashboards, implementation of third-party vendor tools and training. As a Compensation Senior Advisor you will serve as partner and consultant to assigned internal client groups to help build and strengthen organizational compensation capabilities by providing regular support for multiple large client groups, and ensuring proper interpretation and application of compensation programs and policies and provides HR and leadership with ongoing consultation, effective compensation analytics to help business identify issues and solve problems based on best market practices. Regularly engages executives, C&B Sr leadership and the HRLT to drive market intelligence initiatives, programs and processes. Provides authoritative advice to top management based on deep subject matter expertise.

Essential Requirements:

  • Builds external alliances with survey vendors, customers and industry experts to gain and share information and industry trends. Acts as a liaison with survey vendors and consultants on various matters such as market intelligence, trends, and contracts.

  • Consultant to help drive the continued evolution, implementation and maintenance of Dell’s global job structure. Dell has over 3,000 unique job families globally. Your role will be to partner with compensation stakeholders to ensure any new roles are properly documented and aligned to local pay practices and requirements.

  • Demonstrated expertise creating or leveraging compensation models, management-planning tools, presentations, and managing compensation budgets.

  • Provides guidance, advice, analysis and training to Dell’s Human Resources team in connection with market intelligence policies and programs. Act as a key liaison between compensation and group of departments, all levels of line and staff management, HR, benefits, legal counsel and outside service providers.

  • Manages compensation strategies, program and initiatives that support long-term operational and corporate business and financial objectives.
