Summary:

Responsible for providing remote and on-site implementation / migrations of storage and servers running industry standard OS’s such as Microsoft ,Linux and VMware as well as including total IT solution and software deployment such as SQL, Orcal etc.These are scheduled appointments with customers that have services purchased to provide discovery, design, configurations, and installations, validate solutions and perform preventative maintenance of Enterprise solutions and systems for customers. As well as apply diagnostic techniques to identify and document implementation problems, investigate causes, and recommend solutions to correct failures and solidify. Answers questions about installation, operation, and configuration of planning tools to customers. Compiles data when monitoring timeframe is complete and creates Dell deployment document/ report and provides to stakeholders. Applies diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes and recommend solutions to correct failures. This candidate will also be required to assist sales team to offer solution and other consulting services of deployment and maintenance for solution demand generation. After hours and weekend shift work may be required.

Qualifications:

  • Devises creative and innovative approaches where established criteria do not exist.

  • Makes significant decisions having considerable impact on normal operations, profitability, and/or reputation of Dell.

  • Degree in Computer Science / IT related discipline with at least 5 year related working experience.

  • Advance Diploma/Diploma holders in Computer Science/IT related discipline with a minimum of 5 years

  • Must have knowledge of Server/ Storage/Switch/software etc.

  • Good knowledge either in Operating Systems, virtualization, or networking iSCSI, Fibre Channel (SAN, NAS, TBU)

  • Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work with diverse range of people with varying levels of technical understanding and ability.

  • Experience with network switch technologies (Ethernet, Fibre Channel) deployment, configuration, monitoring, and support.

  • Working experience in providing direct support to end-users either in customer service/field engineering or corporate IT help desk are also encouraged to apply.

  • Possess excellent problem solving, communication and organizational skills

  • Good read and write at English, Fluent oral is essential

  • Current Industry certifications (Networking, Microsoft, Linux, VMWare, etc) preferred.

  • Those with professional certification from Cisco/VMWare/Microsoft/Red Hat/Novell will have an added advantage.

  • Be Familiar with EMC/HP and IT software deployment such as Orcal/Exchange etc. will be an added advantage

  • Able to work after business-hours (on-call duty/escalation)

  • Possess excellent problem solving, communication and organizational skills

  • Flexibility, dependability and have excellent time management skills

  • Good presentation skills
