Tax Advisor

What you’ll achieve

As a Tax Advisor, you will be responsible for preparing, completing tax filings and reports to meet all required deadlines. You will work with various Internal teams on tax preparation.

You will:

  • Resolve issues and inquiries from both internal and external customers involved with various tax matters. Assist and manage tax audits and professional relationship with the tax authority; Maintain current knowledge of all tax laws affecting the company.

  • Preparation, review and lodgement of local tax filings, including VAT returns, withholding tax returns, company tax returns and other tax filings to ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations; Maintain tax records properly;

  • Review quarterly tax provision ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP reporting. Review annual tax provision and tax disclosure for statutory reporting;

  • Provide support to accounting teams regarding tax entries and reconciliation of tax related general ledger accounts (e.g. income tax provision account, VAT account etc.).

  • Manage tax inquiries and tax audits conducted by the tax authorities; maintain a professional relationship with audit staff. Respond to internal and external tax inquires, and assist business partners with tax issues timely;

  • Monitor and analyze proposed and newly enacted tax legislation, regulations and judicial decisions that impact the company’s operations and financial positions. Provide support for ad hoc tax matters, i.e. tax and business projects.

Essential Requirements

  • 5-8 years+ of related experience in a large MNC and/or a CPA firm with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Taxation;

  • Solid local tax knowledge and analytical skills; Effective oral and written communication skill in English & Vietnamese and embrace teamwork spirit;

  • Solid problem-solving and time management skills;

  • Good in English and Vietnamese language (written and spoken)

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment;

  • Accountable, positive attitude and resilience under pressure.

Desirable Requirements

  • Possess professional certification in relates to Accounting/ Tax
