Product Document Management is key to deploying and managing product data for Dell products’ initial release and any engineering changes that follow. The team is also crucial to managing products and peripheral components though product release and the associated change activities post release. Put simply, they help to keep our game-changing products at their ground-breaking best. Along the way, the team works directly with diverse functions to help guide project management in the definition, design, building and shipping of systems configuration requirements.
Deploy, maintain and manage Product Data (PD) validation rules
Validate processes and verify PD. Ensures data integrity does not fall below established departmental expectations
Implement rules to support engineering restrictions and deviations in support of new and existing products
Collaborate with various organizations within Dell to manage product release and the associated change activities post release
Understand product lifecycle and adhere to lifecycle milestones
Analyze and resolve factory fall-outs and order issues related to PD validation
Undergraduate degree in a business, IT, or Engineering discipline and/or 4+ years relevant experience.
Knowledge of software programming principles and concepts.
Ability to prioritize and manage work to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment
Must be organized, have an eye for detail, and be able to put ideas into a tangible form
Efficient and accurate in handling and manipulating data
Motivated, energetic and goal driven; deliver to deadlines
Flexible, adaptable and an active team player
An excellent communicator, both written and verbal, comfortable communicating to senior management.
Understanding of product configuration/validation principles is an advantage
Ability to assimilate high volumes of technical information and draw inferences
Proficient in excel
Working knowledge of Java, C++, and Oracle Databases
Knowledge of Agile program methodology
Knowledge of enterprise data center products including emerging technologies, such as hyper converged infrastructure solutions
