What you’ll achieve
Our Software Engineering team translates our customers’ business requirements into total enterprise-wide solutions. It takes deep technical knowledge to create architectural designs that exceed service requirements. We’re skilled in analyzing the customer’s business goals, objectives, needs, and general business environment to create technical system solutions. Our expertise includes integrating hardware, processes, methodologies, and software into the customer environment.
As a Senior Principal Software Engineer, you will deliver products and improvements for a changing world. Working at the cutting edge, you will craft and develop software for platforms, peripherals, applications and diagnostics — all with the most sophisticated technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies, and partnerships.
Serve as Architect and Design consultant to a leader in the IT organization & functional user groups
Lead changes in architecture, methodology or programming procedures
Assist in crafting the strategic technical and architectural direction to the programming function
Act as prime consultant on large projects that affect the organizations long-term goals & objectives
Acquire detailed specifications from business users and development to ascertain specific output

Every Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table. Here’s what we are looking for with this role:
10 - 15 years of experience in the IT Industry with hands on exposure to technologies like Spring Integration, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, SOAP and REST based web services, Elastic Search, Layer7 and Oracle SOA suite
Experience in any of the Messaging technologies JMS, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ and Kafka
Experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry or any other cloud platforms
Understanding of GoF Design Patterns, Enterprise Application Patterns and/or Sun's J2EE Patterns and anti-patterns
Preferable to have experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools (GitLab etc.), Microservices development using Pivotal Cloud Foundry and Spring boot-based application.
Experience working in globally distributed IT and Business teams
Knowledge working with Agile development methodologies
