The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation software application enhancements and new products for a changing world. Working at the cutting edge, we design and develop software for platforms, peripherals, applications and diagnostics — all with the most advanced technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies and the collaboration of internal and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

Contributes to continuous improvements in execution of a global agile software development organization working closely with senior engineering leadership.

  • Identifies opportunities for improvements of the software development team, proposes and drives projects to implement the improvements.

  • Provides detailed accounting and analysis of the software development activities including scrum team velocity and defect resolution.

  • Designs and implements automation tools and tasks geared toward making teams more effective.

  • Coordinates and manages reviews of critical release components facilitates timely and frequent communication across a geographically diverse team

  • Leads or participates in the software development lifecycle for new data protection software products.

  • Drives idea generation for new software products, or for the next version of an existing product.

Essential Requirements

  • BS or equivalent in software engineering (MS preferred)

  • 2-5 years industry experience in developing and delivering software products

  • At least two years industry experience operating in an Agile software development organization

  • Proficient in using and automating tasks in at least one Agile project management tool (Jira experience preferred)

Desirable Requirements

  • Proficiency in using Jira to manage project execution, backlogs, and defect resolution

  • Industry experience in Java programming

  • Coursework and/or industry experience in project management techniques
