This Signal Integrity Engineering Position Will

  • Provide global leadership for the signal integrity discipline working on cutting edge technologies & solving complex problems

  • Mentor and guide engineers on approaches to create the most competitive and highest quality designs

  • Work with and influence numerous suppliers to ensure their products meet & exceed Dell EMC expectations

  • Participate in standards committees to influence direction of standards that are used in Dell EMC products

  • Attend conferences and collaborate with design community colleagues on papers and publications

  • Provide guidance and oversight for design work done at ODMs for Dell EMC

  • Create clear and succinct report outs for issues being worked by the team to enable XF awareness & input

  • Set technology direction for the organization, with emphasis on high speed design

  • Capable of leading the global team to methodically work and solve some of Dell EMCs toughest technical challenges

Requirements

  • BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or similar field) and minimum 8-10 years’ experience with deep technical expertise in the area of Signal Integrity (SI) for computer systems

  • Aptitude and strong desire to provide global technical leadership for complex problems and initiatives

  • Experience in designing High Speed Interfaces (>1Gbps), SI analysis using tools such as 2D and 3D field solvers, Power Distribution Analysis, Circuit Simulation.

  • Experience in using lab equipment such as High Speed Oscilloscope, Network Analyzer, Time Domain Reflectometer, BER scope & Jitter Measurement

  • Familiarity with Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design process to enable designs with high margin

  • Experience with the following Interface Protocols: Ethernet, iSCSI, Fibre channel, PCIe, or SAS

  • Knowledge of server and storage systems Preferences

  • Experience with Enterprise Server/ Storage design, including PCB (Printed Circuit Board) design
