The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation software application enhancements and new products for a changing world. Key responsibilities

  • Dell EMC is looking for Software Engineers to join our highly energetic team that is creating world class products using cutting edge technologies in Cyber Security area

  • Member of a SCRUM team that is responsible for the design, development, testing and documentation of modules and features of new and existing products

  • Facilitate test preparation, execution and tracking; includes planning and estimation, ensuring compliance with test entry and exit criteria, and reporting test progress

  • Participate in product design reviews ensuring testing requirements are incorporated into the design

Essential requirements

  • Programming skills in Java, Golang, Angular, CSS

  • Understanding of RESTful web services

  • Knowledge and interest in Cyber Security

  • General knowledge of engineering concepts

  • Excellent problem-solving skills; must be able to analyze information and draw accurate conclusions.

  • Exceptional time management and communication skills; must be able to work efficiently on your own and collaborate effectively with diverse and disbursed teams

  • Typically requires less than 2 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Desirable requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science

  • Experience as a software engineering or test intern

  • Knowledge or experience with any of the following development environments and tools: Jira, Jenkins, sonarQube and swagger, mongoDB, slack, confluence, docker, VMware and zephyr

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works closely with development & testing team as a member of a SCRUM team

  • Assist to define, create, maintain test environments and development

  • Provides support for other testers and developers

  • Facilitates test preparation and test execution tasks, including planning and estimation; ensures compliance with test entry & exit criteria; coordinates use and creation of test data

  • Understands the business requirements, participates in product design reviews and ensures that testability requirements are incorporated into design

  • Reports on the test progress
