When you’re working in the fast-moving world of technology, product availability is critical – which makes the availability of raw materials for production critical too. Our Material Planning team provides a controlled flow of materials to meet production requirements. We produce detailed schedules, adapting them if necessary to meet backlogs or material shortages, as well as material requirement lists and production plans that balance the demand and supply position of platforms and commodities to optimize product availability and cost. We’re experts at resolving problems with inventory, production schedules or material shortages and recommending procedures to avoid future problems.
We are looking for a Senior Advisor, Material Planning to join our team in Eldorado do Sul or Hortolândia and play a key role in the evolution of Dell.
Understands product demand requirements for assigned products to ensure appropriate level of supply and govern demand consumption rates and provide early warning and mitigation options to supply issues while setting appropriate customer lead-times
Work supply imbalances, both excesses and shortages, with the supply chain and marketing/sales teams to correct as quickly and cost effectively as possible
Lead management and/or implementation of assigned projects including simplification of current processes, innovation for improvement and KPI achievement
Lead Network Design and Optimization projects across different business segments. Interface with Supply Chain Planners and leadership to identify opportunities and prioritization. Work with Functional senior leadership to proactively identify network optimization opportunities in businesses
Identify and remove roadblocks to fulfill customer demand per Service Level Agreements and lead the design, deployment and improvement of Sales and Operations Planning and inventory management best practice processes
Create new processes to drive continuous improvements in supply chain execution and reduce inefficiencies and work with Global Supply Chain IT and Project Management in the launch of internal tools for the region
Analyze large sets of data and extract useful intelligence to drive customer decision and cross functional alignment and manage and report on key performance metrics and scaling of operational execution
Advanced degree in engineering, operations, business administration or other quantitative disciplines
Relevant experience in supply management or manufacturing of personal computers, consumer electronics, electronic components, original design manufacturers (ODM) or enterprise IT products
Broad end to end understanding of supply chain principles with deep expertise in network design and optimization
Functional understanding of Llamasoft or other network optimization tools
Strong business and financial acumen
Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment and develop and implement predictive analytics and forecast methods to suit different types of demand
Lead management of assigned projects including simplification of current processes, innovation for improvement and KPI achievement.
