Experience in design, architecture, development and testing of Java Spring based microservices & APIs deployed on containerized platform, specifically Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF)
Experience in 12-factor development of microservices and CICD tools & processes
Experience in messaging products & design patterns like IBM MQ, RabbitMQ
Experience in service oriented architecture principles and hands-on development in Oracle Fusion Middleware, Boomi or other integration platforms
Analyzes business requirements to determine appropriate technology solutions. Experience in full software development life cycle (Agile) including writing stories & managing backlogs. Delivers projects in a timely and efficient manner
Assists in orienting, training, assigning and checking the work of less experienced developers
Collaborate with Executive stakeholders, Architects, Project Managers, Application Developers, Database Team Members, QA Analysts, and Business Users in the development and initiation of new software programs and application services
Detail-oriented, well organized, able to work independently, and good communication skills
Expert and proven analysis, judgment, decision making, organizational, and planning skills working in an autonomous and proactive manner, and a desire to continuously learn new skills
Strong communicator and relationship builder with all levels of the organization
Ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical business colleagues
Passion and demonstrated ability for continuous process improvement
Strong work ethic, critical thinker
Strong experience of developing cloud-native applications using Java 7/8 / JEE
Strong experience using Spring (including knowledge across Core Spring Integration Framework/Spring Boot)
Strong webservice/API development experience using REST / SOAP
Strong technical knowledge Cloud platforms (Pivotal Cloud Foundry, AWS, Azure or similar)
Strong understanding of Microservice design patterns, 12-factor development
Strong understanding of TDD with extensive experience of automated unit testing (e.g. JUnit) using mock object frameworks.
Good logical reasoning, problem solving and performance tuning Skills
Good knowledge of API Platforms (IBM DataPower, Layer7 or similar)
Knowledge of App Servers like Weblogic
Knowledge of SQL, Major RDBMS (e.g. Oracle)
Knowledge of SCM tools like GIT/SVN/TFS
Knowledge of tools like SonarQube for quality and Jenkins for CI
