What you’ll achieve
The CBS SRE Team is on a journey to transform all the traditional operations activities into an SRE model. This position is leading one team, the HR/Corp SRE team on this journey within the overall context of the organizational transformation.
This is a management position responsible for leading the HR/Corp SRE team. The position is responsible for leading a team of professionals who provide expertise to ensure holistic support, proactive monitoring, and overall health of HR/Corp applications, Dell Digital tools, infrastructure (hardware, data, software), security, information access, system performance and data integrity. The HR/Corp SRE manager utilizes and/or develops appropriate Dell Digital tools to resolve issues within global, complex technical, business-critical and mission-critical environments.
The person who fills this position will be considered a subject-matter expert in more than one technical discipline. He/she will need the ability to recognize recurring problems and proactively work cross-functionally and inter-departmentally throughout the organization to recommend/implement solutions and process improvements.
Lead SRE transformation for HR/Corp SRE Team;
Develops software engineering solutions to operational problems, process, etc.;
Manages the activities and personnel of the HR/Corp SRE Team;
Ensures the operation is in accordance with the established procedures and practices;
Monitors performance of SRE personnel, reviewing response times, problem logs, engineering solutions and trends in problems reported
Works with other Dell Digital groups, vendors, and business units to lead, monitor and resolve system outages
Ensure standards for service are established and met
